Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Offered is Matt Duchene’s attractive alternate-style burgundy Team Canada uniform, worn during the games of the 2010 IIHF World Ice Hockey Championships held in three locations across Germany from May 7th to 23rd. The Nike-made shirt is noted as a size 60 in the neck and features the IIHF label in the collar and the organization's embroidered crest sewn onto the tail. Zepter sponsor patches appear up on each sleeve along the Hockey Canada design on a patch and Matt’s number 92. Game wear is obvious with board burns and scuffs on both cuffs. Comes with a letter of authenticity on Team Canada Authentics letterhead signed by Scott Smith of Hockey Canada.
Although Canada turned in a disappointing seventh place finish at the 2010 Worlds, Matt Duchene’s individual efforts placed him in a tie, along with a number of other players, for the fifth in scoring for the tournament with seven points tallied. The Haliburton-born centerman jumped over to the Ottawa Senators early in the 2017-18 season after eight full years with the Avalanche following a two-season stint in the juniors with the Brampton Battalion.
