Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
With a combined total of 1564 wins in their respective careers as well as a total of six Stanley Cup Championships, it is easy to see why Martin Brodeur, Ed Belfour and Dominik Hasek all took their places within the Hockey Hall of Fame at the conclusion of their careers. Presented here is a lot of four signed goalie masks of those legendary twine tenders. All the masks are street hockey level masks made by Franklin with paint jobs pertaining to the team the signor had played for while remaining in new with tags condition. The first mask, signed by Martin Brodeur, has been signed on the crown of the mask with a silver ink signature that displays without issue. Brodeur has added a number inscription to his signature. Dominik Hasek has signed two masks included in the lot with the first being in a Buffalo Sabres design that has been signed on the right-side crown with a silver ink signature. Hasek has added both a number and “6x Vezina” inscription to his autograph. The second Hasek mask features a Red Wings design and features a crisp black ink signature in the same area. On this one, Hasek has added an “HOF 14” inscription and both signatures display beautifully. Lastly, the mask signed by Belfour features a generic NHL design and has been signed by The Eagle on the right side of the crown with a stunning blue ink signature with an added “HOF 2011” inscription. It should be noted that all four masks have authentication holograms affixed with the Hasek and Belfour examples having examples from Schwartz Sports and the Brodeur having a Steiner example. All are accompanied by matching certificates of authenticity.
