Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017

A Stanley Cup champion with three different clubs, Mark Recchi enjoyed over 20 seasons of pro hockey in the world’s greatest league, with enshrinement within the hallowed HOF occurring for the Kamloops native in June of 2017. We have a jersey that was worn by Recchi while with the Muskegon Lumberjacks in either 1988-89, or 1989-90, with the former more likely, as Mark skated in only 4 games with the Lumberjacks in 1989-90. Maska Air-Knit labeling graces the collar, with an embroidered CCM crest over the back bottom hem. Styled with a heat-pressed team crest, the mesh-style V-neck has been accented with dual-colour rubberized sleeve and verso numbers, with “Recchi” appearing over the affixed nameplate in matching material.
Heavy game-wear is present on the garment, with a ton of both dark marks and red paint transfer, with heavy burns with resulting holes over the lower left sleeve. A dozen team repairs are also visible, with the bulk isolated to the sleeves. Recchi's 1993 "Classic" hockey card shows a big mark on the right shoulder below the "8", similar to this jersey, but not high res enough to call a definitive photo-match. Recchi would score 99 points including 50 goals in 63 games during the 1988-89 season with Muskegon.
