Mario Lemieux burst onto the NHL scene in 1984-85 and became the first rookie to win All-Star Game MVP honors. Lemieux, who would go on to win the Calder Trophy at the end of his first season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, scored twice and assisted on a goal by Anders Hedberg of the New York Rangers to lead the Wales All-Stars to a 6-4 win over the Campbells at Calgary’s Olympic Saddledome in the 37th NHL All-Star Game on February 12, 1985. Super Mario has signed in bold black marker in the middle of the right “6” on the back of this Lemieux 1985 Wales Conference All-Stars No. 66 vintage pro jersey, which measures out to a size 56 and remains in essentially pristine condition.
