Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024

Listed as suiting up for the Montreal L'est Cantonniers of the QAAA Midget league during the 1966-67 season in which he put up 71 points in only 24 games played, Marcel Dionne will tell you that he also donned the uniform of the Montreal-East Rangers of the Laurentides Junior B Hockey League during the year, helping them to a provincial title before joining the Drummondville Junior "A" team the next season. Offered here, we present this simple championship ring that was presented to the future NHL star for his efforts. Displaying a pair of crossed hockey sticks over the face as well as "Rangers" at the top, the year of "66" and "67" is found on either side of the sticks while "V.M.E." (Ville Montreal East) is found along the bottom. Measuring out to a size "10" and stamped inside the band with "Trico 10K", what appear to be leaves are found in the shoulder/shank area on either side as well. Remaining in overall good condition with signs of wear apparent throughout via some light scratches and scuffs from both wear and age, the piece, originally hailing from Dionne's personal collection will come accompanied by his signed LOA as well as a low-grade copy of his 1973-74 Topps card.
