Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022

An especially historic season for the blue and white, with Busher Jackson leading the NHL in scoring and Maple Leaf Gardens first opening its doors, the 1931-32 season featured Toronto advancing to the Stanley Cup finals against a potent New York Rangers squad that topped the American Division. Needing only a trio of games to claim Lord Stanley’s treasure, matches were played at MSG (Game 1), Boston Garden (Game 2) and MLG (Game 3), with Toronto taking home it’s first championship as the Leafs. We have a 1932 Stanley Cup Finals Game 3 Cup-clinching program, held at Maple Leaf Gardens on April 9, 1932. Featuring the banners of each NHL team on the cover along with a generic Maple Leaf and the original 15 cent cover price, the 72-page program is complete and sports the line-up and rosters, along with a handful of period hockey advertisements and player photos including a full-page image of Eddie Shore. In high grade, exhibiting just very light spine wear, a crease to the back cover and minor rusting to the staples, “1932” is also handwritten to the cover. This is arguably one of the best seasons in Leafs history.
