Jacques Plante Auction March 2006

Gorgeous blue durene Kansas City Scouts road jersey by Wilson was donned by goaltender Bill McKenzie during the ’75-76 season. Formidable is the jersey, not McKenzie’s 1-16-1 record in 22 appearances! An embroidered and tackle twill Scouts crest is sewn on the front while number “30” in two-tone tackle twill is sewn on the back and sleeves. Size 48 jersey has a Gunzo’s tag in the collar and a “75 76” year tag in the lower hem. Nice game use here with significant interior pilling, a 2-inch team repair on the left sleeve and 1-inch jobs on the front, at the left shoulder and on the right sleeve. Four small holes can be spotted on the front, along with a couple of runs. We count 10 holes/runs on the back. Tempting colorful jersey of a short-lived, long gone team, and a goalie’s shirt at that, will interest many.
