This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
Involved in the famous trade that sent Phil Esposito, Ken Hodge and himself from Chicago to Boston for Pit Martin, Gilles Marotte and Jack Norris, Fred Stanfield blossomed into a great two-way player with the Bruins, giving Boston 5 straight 20-goal seasons. This is the puck with which Stanfield scored his 1st career NHL hat trick. The date was February 23, 1972 and the victim was Oakland Seals goaltender Gilles Meloche as the Bruins outscored the Seals 8-6. The Seals rubber-crested game puck was mounted on a 8" x 10" wooden plaque with an engraved brass plate below listing the details. The handsome keepsake is in excellent condition. *startred* The puck (Stanfield Hat Trick puck) was a goal scored at 5:59 of the third period and was assisted by Don Awrey and Bobby Orr.*endred*
