The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
A winner of 293 games in his NHL career, Mike Liut spent 4 full seasons and parts of 2 others in Hartford and was a big contributor to the Whalers success. His sparkling 1.90 GAA in the 1986 playoffs almost led the Whalers past eventual winner Montreal and Liut then led the league in shutouts the following season while finishing runner-up to Ron Hextall for the Vezina trophy. Mike's huge untagged CCM white mesh Whalers home jersey shows excellent game use with 10 puck marks on the sleeves and 2 on the shoulders. Four slices are on the front including a 1-inch gash to the left of the neckline. The green cuffs were cut down and the fight strap was cut out of the tail. "Liut" is sewn directly onto the shirt and Mike autographed the "1" in black marker. Impressive goalie sweater will come with a LOA.
