The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
Terrific program from the 18th NHL All-Star Game played October 10th, 1964 at Maple Leaf Gardens has been autographed on the cover by Hall-of-Famers Beliveau, Hall, Mikita, Ullman, Delvecchio, Bucyk, Boivin and Abel as well as Charlie Hodge and Murray Oliver. Hodge actually became the first goalie ever assessed a penalty (intentionally freezing the puck) in All-Star game history while Oliver scored the game-winner as the All-Stars beat the Leafs 3-2. Coach Sid Abel assembled one of the greatest lines ever in Howe, Beliveau and Hull with the threesome combining on a 2nd period Beliveau goal. The 72-page program is complete with no writing inside and is in beautiful excellent-plus condition. Leafs fans will enjoy the full-page photo of George Armstrong with the Stanley Cup and of some champagne-drinking dressing room shots from the previous spring. Outstanding piece of All-Star game memorabilia was obtained directly from Jean Beliveau who will sign a LOA to be included.
