The longtime and inspirational leader of the Detroit Red Wings, Steve Yzerman wore this CCM red knit Wings road jersey relatively early in his stupendous career. The circa 1986 sweater features the captain's "C" on the left breast and "Yzerman" arched across the back (no nameplate) above his famous number "19". A CCM patch is embroidered into the rear hem, not far from a screened-on "Eastside". Jersey shows nice use with dozens of light black stick marks and general filth across the front to go along with a few snags and a couple of slices that have left 2 small holes. Similar wear is on the sleeves; 3 holes on each are accompanied by burns and some blue paint. The back includes a couple of black slash marks. Nice pilling in the tail and a little around the neckline to mention. Worn by a rare breed, one who has spent his entire NHL career with the same team, leading it to 3 memorable Stanley Cup championships and restoring pride in the Motor City. The inside of the jersey, in fact the reverse of the Wings crest, has been signed in black sharpie by Yzerman who added "19". A letter of authenticity will be included with this special Wings jersey. *startred*This jersey is accompanied with letter of authenticity from Milt Byron. *endred*
