The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
Sensational white dureen Rangers jersey was worn by defenceman Ab DeMarco Jr. early in his NHL career. After 3 and 2-game call-ups the previous two seasons, DeMarco saw action in 48 games in '71-72 and then 51 in '72-73. A Gerry Cosby tag and a size 46 fly tag are sewn in the inner hem. "Rangers" in individual blue and red tackle twill letters is sewn on the front while "24"s are sewn on the back and sleeves. "DEMARCO" in individual letters was originally sewn on the back but was removed, leaving an outline and some light glue residue. A garter-style fight strap is in the tail. Game use includes 3 team repairs on the front; 2 are just to the right of the "N" with the other on the left breast. There is blue board paint on each sleeve, 2 yellow stains at the left elbow and a stick slash mark on the back. Great ‘70's jersey was obtained directly from Ab DeMarco Jr. and will come with his signed LOA.
