The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
Former Montreal Canadiens general manager Sam Pollock, when asked what his best trades over the years were, responded the separate deals which allowed him to acquire Dick Duff and Frank Mahovlich were his favorites and benefitted his teams the most. Duff helped the Habs to 4 Stanley Cups during their "quiet" dynasty of the 1960's and reached the 250-goal plateau while with Montreal during the 1968-69 season. This simple golden tie clip with a dangling gold charm was presented to Duff to commemorate the milestone. The charm features the NHL logo and "250" while the back is stamped "10K". The back of the tie clip itself reads "1/20 12KT G.F.". The splendid souvenir from a 6-time Stanley Cup champion is in excellent condition.
