The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
After a 278-goal NHL career, two Stanley Cup wins with Toronto and two other trips to the finals with Chicago, Jim Pappin scouted for a number of teams before settling in as the director of U.S. scouting for the Black Hawks. Pappin was presented with this Clarence Campbell Bowl miniature after the Hawks won the Campbell Conference playoff championship and advanced to the Stanley Cup finals against the eventual winners, the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Hawks were led by the likes of Roenick, Chelios and Belfour and were impressive in their playoff run, beating the Blues before sweeping both the Red Wings and Oilers. The silver plated handled bowl with removeable lid is engraved "James Pappin – Chicago Black Hawk – 1991-92" on one side while the other side reads "Clarence S. Campbell Bowl – 1968". The Boffey-produced trophy is in striking near mint condition and will be accompanied by Jim Pappin's signed letter of authenticity.
