The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
Splendid souvenirs here from the 1972 Canada-Russia battle that raised North American interest in international hockey and led to the Canada Cup tournaments. The lot is highlighted by a pair of gold plated Team Canada cuff links only given to Canadian players and executives. They measure a little over an inch square, feature a generic player emerging from a maple leaf and are in striking like-new condition. The "Twenty-seven days in September" book is a definite must for any Summit Series fan as it is loaded with photos and summaries of the 8 games. A 1987 Jim Coleman book about Canada in the world of international hockey also recounts the series along with other competitions. It has been signed inside "Marvin Good Luck, Alan Eagleson". Marvin Goldblatt worked alongside Alan Eagleson for years as a Hockey Canada executive and will sign a LOA to be included with these fantastic items.
