The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
A fine scorer wherever his NHL career took him, Geoff Courtnall's skills benefitted Team Canada at the 1991 World Hockey Championships. Canada, which had earned silver in 1989 but finished out of medal contention the following year, bounced back in 1991, once again coming away with silver medals. Courtnall did his share, firing 5 goals in 10 tournament games. Jeff's white and red mesh jersey is by Tackla with the company tag in the neck indicating size XXL. All logos, numbers and "Courtnall" across the nameplate are sublimated while "Allianz" patches are sewn on each sleeve. Nice game wear includes 10 black stick/slash marks on the sleeves and a couple more on the front. On the front, below the neckline is where Courtnall autographed the shirt, adding his number "10". In excellent condition, the jersey will come with a LOA signed by Team Canada executive Marvin Goldblatt.
