This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
The final edition of the Canada Cup tournament, replaced by the World Cup of Hockey, saw the American squad come through with its best performance ever, reaching the finals against Canada. Team Canada prevailed by 4-1 and 4-2 scores in the best-of-3 finals as goalie Bill Ranford was named tourney MVP while Wayne Gretzky led all scorers with 12 points. Members of Team Canada received marvellous gold rings to commemorate the victory. The half maple leaf logo is on the tableau encircled by "Coupe Canada Cup" while 4 diamonds are below. The respective shanks feature "19 and "91". Stamped "10K" on the interior band, the size 10 ring shows no wear and is in gorgeous near mint condition. Team Canada executive Marvin Goldblatt's signed LOA will accompany this superb souvenir.
