The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
Marcel Dionne, whose teammates nicknamed "Lou" for his likeness to comedian Lou Costello, was a big ball enthusiast and led the L.A. Kings to the NHL Slo-Pitch Championship in Niagara Falls in both 1982 and 1985. Two plaques picturing the winners are among this lot's highlights. Seven ball caps and 3 uniforms (including Marcel's autographed Kings shirt) are included along with stylish his and her Kings satin jackets with "Lou" and Marcel's wife's name "Carol" embroidered on the fronts. Three CCM sticks have each been autographed in red sharpie by over 20 members of Team Canada 1972 including Cournoyer, the Espositos, Park and Mikita. Three N.Y. Rangers jackets by Starter are joined by Dionne's 1967 Montreal East Jr. "B" Rangers jacket. There's Dionne's 1983-84 Emery Edge Plus/Minus Award and a wooden facsimile Stanley Cup that Marcel autographed, adding "My first Stanley Cup". Two Kings puck transistor radios, a puck clock, a Kings tote bag, a hooked Kings rug, 2 tuques and 2 Kings bumper stickers round out this varied lot. From Marcel Dionne's personal collection with his signed LOA.
