The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
Marcel Dionne's climb up the ladder on the NHL's all-time goal, assist and point lists continued in the 1984-85 season as he moved into 3rd place on each as he scored 46 goals and registered his 8th 100-point season. This is the puck Marcel fired past the Oiler's Andy Moog on Monday, January 21st in Edmonton to surpass the legendary Bobby Hull with career goal #611. Assisted by defenceman Mark Hardy, the goal came at 13:17 of the 1st period and put the visiting Kings up 3-0. Dionne also contributed on 3 other goals but the night had somewhat of a bittersweet ending since the Oilers rallied for 5 goals in the 3rd period and edged Los Angeles 8-7 in a classic Smythe division shootout. The Oilers Non-Approved InGlasCo game puck shows nice game use with some character-enhancing skate slices while "Marcel" in black marker and "611" in ballpoint are written on the piece of white tape on the back. This historic goal puck will come with a signed LOA from Marcel Dionne.
