The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
The 1984-85 season was a memorable one for Marcel Dionne as he reached several important milestones while continuing to carve out his place in the Hockey Hall of Fame. Dionne moved into 3rd place on the all-time goal list in front of Bobby Hull, 3rd place on the career point list ahead of Stan Mikita and used this puck to pass Phil Esposito as the game's 3rd greatest assist man. Marcel's assist (career #874) on linemate Dave Taylor's goal at 15:44 of the 3rd period in a game in Vancouver put the Kings ahead 3-2. The Friday, April 5th game ended up 4-3 in Los Angeles' favor and Dionne's teammates helped him celebrate yet another impressive accomplishment. The Canucks Approved InGlasCo game puck (Viceroy slug) shows a little game use with a chip on the back edge and simply has "Espo Assist" written on the piece of white tape that was applied to mark the event. Marcel Dionne will sign a LOA that will accompany this marvellous piece of hockey memorabilia.
