The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
During his fourth and final year in Detroit, Marcel Dionne was en route to a 47-goal output and his first 100-point NHL season when he was chosen to play in his first All-Star game. Although he didn't hit the scoresheet, Marcel was on the winning side as the Wales Conference, in part thanks to MVP Syl Apps' 2 goals, took care of the Campbell Conference 7-1 at the Montreal Forum. Dionne's stunning white dureen #12 jersey is tagged in the neck by Gerry Cosby and measures out to size 46. Everything is sewn-on including the beautiful embroidered NHL crest on the front and "Dionne" in individual letters (no nameplate) on the back. Jersey is in fabulous condition with a couple of black marks on the front and 2 red marks at the right elbow. There's something special about firsts, with this sweater from Marcel's first All-Star game appearance being another highlight of his fantastic jersey collection. A signed LOA from Marcel Dionne will be included.
