The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
Due to his status as one of Canada's top performers whose teams were often left out of the NHL playoff picture or exited it early, Marcel Dionne had several opportunities to represent his country at the World Hockey Championships. These watches are souvenirs from two such outings. The all golden Bulova Accutron watch is from the 1978 championships in Prague when Dionne won the Best Forward Award after scoring 9 goals and 3 assists in 10 games while leading Canada to a bronze medal. It's engraved "Team Canada 1978" on the back while the engraving on the back of the Seiko Quartz watch with a leather wrist band reads "Moscow 1979". Both watches feature the red, orange and green Team Canada logo on the face and are in nice shape. A Marcel Dionne-signed LOA will be included with these neat international hockey mementos.
