The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
After his Los Angeles Kings failed to qualify for the 1983 Stanley Cup playoffs, veteran center Marcel Dionne was an obvious choice for Team Canada officials assembling their team for the World Championships that spring in Germany. Co-captains Dionne and Darryl Sittler helped lead their team to a bronze medal, with Dionne scoring 6 goals and helping out on 3 others in 10 tournament games. Marcel's white and red knit Maska jersey has the company tag in the neck along with another indicating size 46 while "Maska" is embroidered into the rear hem. The emboidered Team Canada crests and tackle twill numbers are sewn-on with "Dionne" being screened onto the nameplate. Nice game wear includes stick/slash marks, a little board paint, some small light stains on the front and a patch of general filth beneath the front crest. The double cloth fight strap was cut out of the tail. Marcel Dionne will sign a LOA that will be included.
