A Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick in 2002, Alexander Steen spent four seasons in Ontario before a trade on Nov 24, 2008 sent the Winnipeg native along with Carlo Colaiacovo, to the St. Louis Blues for Lee Stempniak. From late in his career, we have a photo-matched Blues alternate captain's jersey worn by the Swedish international in 2017-18. Made by Adidas, a band displaying both "Made in Canada" and size "56" designations is affixed to the inner collar while NHL shield and Adidas crests have been added over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a Blues team crest that features embroidered details, the sleeves and verso of the garment have been styled with "20" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals while "Steen" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its fight strap on the interior, a Blues team tag that denotes the jersey as being an "Official Game Jersey - Set 3 - 12-27-2017" is situated above the fight strap. Just light to moderate use is shown on the garment, with a few faint burn marks to the sleeves along with team repairs, with 2 on the right sleeve, and 5 on the left. Getty Image #903109702 (January 09, 2018) has been matched to the broken threading section on the right elbow. The burn marks beneath are also visible. Additionally, Getty Image #916351128 (February 06, 2018) has been matched to particularities within the "20" on the right sleeve, to the broken threading section on the right elbow, and to small tear and mark beneath.
