Presented here are two game-worn jerseys from the WHL’s Tri-City Americans, each featuring
anniversary patches commemorating key milestones in franchise history. Included is Luke
Hewitt’s 2002-03 home jersey with 15th anniversary patches and Malte Stromwall’s 2012-13
third heritage jersey with a 25th anniversary patch.
Hewitt’s 2002-03 game-worn home jersey is a size 56 Nike-manufactured piece, featuring an
American flag on the reverse neckline, a WHL patch on the right breast, and a Nike logo patch
on the left breast. The 15th anniversary patches are stitched onto both shoulders. The number
20 appears in blue-over-red tackle twill on both arms and the back. Game wear is evident
throughout, with puck and stick marks across the front, a small yellow stain and additional wear
on the right arm, and a red mark along with board burns on the left sleeve. The back of the
jersey, where “HEWITT” is stitched in blue-over-red on the nameplate, also displays puck and
stick marks. A small tear is present on the neckline, adding to the overall battle-worn
appearance of this piece. Fight strap found inside the back of the jersey.
Stromwall’s 2012-13 third heritage game-worn jersey is a size 54 Reebok-manufactured jersey,
featuring a Reebok patch on the reverse neckline, a WHL patch on the right breast, and both a
Reebok logo patch and a 25th anniversary patch on the left breast. This jersey shows significant
use, including heavy wear on the right arm, which has multiple board burns, team repairs, and
scattered puck and stick marks, as well as a faint red stain on the sleeve. The left arm also has
a team repair and a small red mark. The number 15 is displayed in navy blue on both arms and
the back, with “STROMWALL” stitched in navy on the nameplate. The back features additional
team repairs and flight strap found inside the back of the jersey.
