Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/18/2025
The Carolina Monarchs had a short-lived existence in the AHL, lasting just a pair of seasons in the mid-to-late-1990s before moving to New Haven, with the team ultimately folding after the 1998-99 season. This Monarchs jersey from the team’s second and last season was worn by goaltender David Lemanowicz in 1996-97, where he appeared in 33 games. A ProWear label and size “56G” fly tag remain affixed to the collar, with Bauer and AHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with an attractive and partially textured Monarchs team crest with embroidered detailing, the mesh-style V-neck has been accented with navy tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers with yellow trim, with an alternate team crest over the right shoulder. Marks, burns and fabric pulls are present showing thorough use, with some light pilling around the collar. There is also a small slit on the reverse hem, along with a small stain within the interior hem. AHL patch is sewn on the right rear tail to the right of the embroidered Bauer logo.
