A product of the Bowling Green Falcons in the NCAA who was drafted 74th overall by the New Jersey Devils in 1984, Paul Ysebaert would go on to play a total of 532 games in the National Hockey League for team like New Jersey, Detroit, Chicago, Winnipeg and Tampa Bay over the course of 11 years in the league. Spending nearly three (3) full seasons between 1987 and 1990 with New Jersey's AHL affiliate, offered here, we present this AHL Utica Devils jersey issued to Ysebaert for use during the late-1980s, likely in 1989-90, his final full season in the American Hockey League. A CCM Air-Knit construction garment sporting a brand label affixed to the inner collar that displays a penned size "50" designation in blue ballpoint pen ink, a CCM small block logo has been embroidered into the reverse hem. In New Jersey's classic green, red and white colourway, the front of the jersey is decorated with a Utica team crest in layered tackle twill while matching New Jersey primary logo patches having been added over both shoulders. Also having had the distinguished alternate captain's "A" added on over the left breast, the sleeves and verso of the jersey have been styled with Ysebaert's number "18" in dual layer red-over-green tackle twill numerals while "Ysebaert" is spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed Ultrafil nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its fight strap on the interior, the jersey shows no obvious signs of game-wear on either the interior or exterior and remains in overall excellent condition with just some spot staining throughout the entirety of the piece.
