Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025

Selected by New Jersey in 1990, Valeri Zelepukin spent his first seven NHL seasons with the Devils before additional seasons with Edmonton, Philadelphia and Chicago. This photo-matched Flyers jersey was worn by the Russian in 1999-2000, where he played in 77 regular season games and 18 playoff contests. A CCM label with handwritten “26” is affixed to the collar along with a size 54 fly tag, with CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the classic winged-P team crest administered in layered tackle twill, “26” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with the NHL 2000 crest residing over the right breast. Great use is shown on the garment, with numerous puck and stick marks to the front and sleeves, along with board burns, slashes, scrapes and some paint transfer to the sleeves, with large team repair clusters over each elbow. There is also a bit of staining over the shoulders, and light pilling to the interior sleeves. Getty Image #474244950 (Nov 9, 1999) has been matched to the extended white thread at the bottom of the team crest, to the black mark visible over the left shoulder, and to the dark mark across the bottom right corner of the "6" of "26" on the right sleeve.
