The first European goaltender to lead the NHL in GAA, Dominik Hasek earned considerable awards and accolades throughout his HOF career, and sports the highest career saves percentage in history. A six-time Vezina winner, Hasek also hoisted the Stanley Cup with Detroit in 2002 and 2008. Hailing from the 2001-02 season, his first year in Detroit in which he registed a league leading 41 wins and helped Motown to their 10th Stanley Cup in franchise history as well as the first of his career, offered here is this stick used by Hasek during the monumental season. A Louisville TPS made twig with "Hasek" factory graphics in red over the shaft, a factory production stamp reading "2071 D" is found on the underside of the lower shaft as well. Retaining its original white tape job over the handle/knob, blade and lower paddle with the upper portion shaved down to Dominik's liking, the stick displays with moderate wear including puck marks over both sides of the blade tape and over the forehand side of the paddle plus shaft while red post paint transfer marks appear over the blade tape as well as the backhand side of the paddle and shaft. Also showing light wear to the tape on the underside of the blade, the stick is signed by twenty-two (22) members of that year's Cup winning squad in black marker over the forehand side of the paddle including; Dandenault, Chelios, Legacy, Williams, Wallin, Datsyuk, Elliot, Kuznetsov, Fischer, Draper, Yzerman, Lidstrom, Krupp, McCarty, Hasek, Larionov, Fedorov, Robitaille, Smith (coach) and Shanahan as well as a couple others that couldn't be identified. All signed in black marker ink, all the autographs display well and without issue.
