A fan favourite throughout the entirety of his 17-year NHL career, Bob Rouse finally reached the top of the hockey world as a member of the Detroit Red Wings with back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1997 and 1998. Originally drafted 80th overall by the Minnesota North Stars at the 1982 NHL Entry Draft and going on to play a total of 1061 games in the National Hockey League for the likes of Minnesota, Washington, Toronto, Detroit and San Jose. Offered here, we present this San Jose jersey worn by Rouse during the 1998-99 season. Made by Nike, brand/size "56", "Made in Canada" and "Center Ice Authentic Collection" labels are all affixed to the inner collar along with a worn heat-pressed "NHL Player" logo as well. Having had both the Nike Swoosh and NHL shield logos embroidered into the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a Sharks team crest that features embroidered details while the sleeves and verso have been styled with Rouse's number "3" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals. Having had "Rouse" spelt out in single layer teal twill letters across the matching arched nameplate at the top of the reverse, the interior of the jersey displays Rouse's customized shortened fight strap as well as some light pilling/fraying. Displaying overall light-to-moderate game-wear, stick marks are observed over the front, reverse and right sleeve while board burns are found over both sleeves as well. Additionally, a few small fabric snags are found in the dazzle cloth sections of the sleeves and hem.
