Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
A product of the United States National Team Development Program and the University of Michigan, Mike Brown would be drafted 159th overall by the Vancouver Canucks at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and go on to play 407 National Hockey League games over the course of his career with the likes of Vancouver, Anaheim, Toronto, Edmonton, San Jose and Montreal. Offered here, we present this San Jose Sharks jersey worn by Brown during the 2015-16 season of play. Made by Reebok, a lone size "56" label is affixed to the inner collar while the crests of both the NHL and Reebok adorn the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front and shoulders of the jersey with a trio of Sharks team crests that all display embroidered details throughout their entirety, the franchise's 25th anniversary patch that they wore throughout the season is in place over the right breast. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Brown's number "18" in dual layer white-over-black tackle twill numerals, "Brown" is spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its customized shortened fight strap on the interior, a Sharks team tag denoting the jersey as being a "2015-2016" season offering and displaying the period of time it was worn between is heat-pressed inside the reverse hem. Displaying just very light game-wear, a couple of faint board burns are found over the left elbow area while a small stick mark is observed at the right cuff.
