This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
Spending 17 years at a top position with the Toronto Maple Leafs despite a tense relationship with Conn Smythe, Frank J. Selke helped raise funds for the construction of Maple Leaf Gardens in 1931, and served as acting manager of the Leafs and Maple Leaf Gardens while Smythe served in World War II. This Expense Sheet dated April of 1937 has been signed by the 1960 HOF inductee. At 8" x 10", the document lists hockey and lacrosse promotion as expenses. There are a pair of purple stamps, with Selke signing the bottom in ink, with the signature flawelss with no issues. The nine-time Stanley Cup winner passed away in 1985. This signature is a must for any Leafs, Canadiens or HOF collection.
