Their fifth (5th) season in the National Hockey League at that point in time, the 1928-29 campaign saw the Boston Bruins finished the regular season with a record of 26–13–5 in forty-four (44) games played to claim the top spot in the NHL's American Division. Knocking off the Montreal Canadiens in a three (3) games to none (0) sweep during the first round of the 1929 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Bruins would continue their winning ways in the Stanley Cup Finals against the New York Rangers, sweeping them two (2) games to none (0) to claim the Stanley Cup in what would be the first Finals series played exclusively between American based teams. Featuring a roster that included a total of seven (7) future Hockey Hall of Fame inductees, offered here is this incredible 1928-29 Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Champions pullover sweater. A heavyweight knitted wool construction offering, the original "Horace Partridge Co. Boston Cleveland Charlotte" label is fully intact inside the right hip at the hip. Measuring out to roughly a size "44" and featuring pockets over the lower front, the front of the sweater has been decorated with a gorgeous team patch of felt, cotton and embroidery construction that also reads “World’s Champions – 1928-29” across the banner at the bottom. Also displaying with Bruins colours around the edges of the knit collar, cuffs, hem and both front pockets, the sweater has been beautifully preserved and remains free from any major flaws or holes but does show single light spot stains over the left sleeve and reverse as well as a small pull the yellow stripe of the right cuff and a few pills throughout the body and sleeves.
