The 22nd overall pick of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers, Claude Giroux, a product of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Gatineau Olympiques, has gone on to play a total of nearly 1200 games in his National Hockey League career thus far, suiting up for the likes of Philadelphia, Florida and Ottawa. Named to the QMJHL contingent for both the 2006 and 2007 editions of the CHL ADT Canada–Russia Challenge, offered here is this jersey donned by Giroux during the 2007 edition of the series on either November 19th or November 21st. Made by Reebok, a brand/CHL label is affixed to the inner collar along with a lone size "58 tag as well while Reebok logo crests have been added over the reverse neckline and left breast. Having had the CHL logo embroidered into the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with "LHJMQ" team crest that features embroidered details while the distinguished alternate captain's "A" sits over the left breast also. Having had matching CHL crests affixed over both shoulders, the all-important 2007 ADT Canada–Russia Challenge event patch has been sewn on over the left breast. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Giroux's number "28" in dual layer white-over-black tackle twill numerals, "Giroux" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Likely worn for just a single period in one (1) of the two (2) games based on other examples that we have seen and handled, the jersey shows no obvious signs of wear other than numerous loose/frayed threads on the interior of the piece and remains in excellent condition overall.
