A veteran of over 1000 National Hockey League games, Alex Tanguay spent 50 games with the bleu, blanc et rouge in Montreal during their centennial celebration season of 2008-09. Celebrating one of the modern game’s best netminders as part of that year's centennial celebrations by raising his number "33" to the rafters of the Bell Centre in Downtown Montreal, offered here is this Canadiens jersey worn by Tanguay on November 22nd, 2008 against the Boston Bruins, the night Montreal retired the number of 2006 HHOF inductee, Patrick Roy. Made by Reebok and sporting a lone size "56" label affixed to the inner collar, the crests of the NHL shield and Reebok adorn the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front of the jersey with Montreal's famed "CH" crest that features embroidered details, the "Patrick Roy Retirement Night" banner patch sits affixed over the right breast. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Tanguay's number "13" in dual layer white-over-blue tackle twill numerals, "Tanguay" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its fight strap on the interior and having had a Canadiens team tag numbered "A01414" sewn inside the reverse hem, a Canadiens hologram has been added over the bottom of the "3" on the reverse as well. Displaying with just light game-wear, dark stick marks are present over both sleeves while a light stain is present over the lower front also.
