Concluding his HOF career as the highest scoring European-born-and-trained player in NHL history, Jari Kurri was a member of five Stanley Cup championship squads with the Edmonton Oilers and represented his native Finland at every international level. Offered here, we present this stick used by "The Finnish Flash" during the period of the mid-to-late-1980s as a member of the Edmonton Oilers. A KOHO Silverfibre model twig with "Kurri" stamped to the lower shaft, the stick retains its black cloth wrapping over both the knob and the blade. Signed by approximately nine (9) over the forehand side of the shaft with black marker signatures, majority of the autographs have faded heavily and only those of Messier, McTavish, Huddy, Ranford and Tikkanen are able to be made out. Displaying with good game-wear, numerous marks and abrasions are observed throughout the length of the shaft, lower shaft and heel, both sides of the blade tape shows marks as well as small cuts/tears. Also sporting some red post paint transfers over the heel, some wear/cracks to the untaped section of the toe are present as well.
