Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024

Playing his college hockey with the State University of New York Cortland Red Dragons and University of Wisconsin–Superior Yellowjackets, Nate Ziemski would play a pair of pro seasons with the Jacksonville Barracudas in both the Atlantic Coast Hockey League and World Hockey Association 2, winning a President's Cup championship in 2003-04. Offered here, we present this WHA2 Barracudas jersey worn by Ziemski during the league's lone season of 2003-04. Made by OT Sports, the classic tie-neck style garment is void of any labeling affixed to the interior but measures out to roughly a size "60G" for its effort. Sporting OT Sports and WHA2 patches over the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a Barracudas team crest that sports embroidered details throughout its entirety. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Ziemski's number "1" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, "Ziemski" is spelt out in single layer light blue twill letters across the affixed matching arched nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its original fight strap on the interior and accented over the right shoulder with an alternate logo crest, the jersey displays game-wear via heavy sweat staining, puck marks, board burns and red post paint transfers. Of note, the jersey displays heavy liquid staining throughout its entirety that is worth mentioning for accuracy. Having had a "2003-2004 WHA2 Game-Worn Jersey" patch sewn on inside the reverse hem, the jersey comes accompanied by an LOA.
