A two-time gold medalist with Canada at the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships in 1994 and 1995, Jason Allison would go on to an NHL career that saw him suit up in 552 National Hockey League games after being selected 17th overall in 1993 by the Washington Capitals. Hailing from the 2000-01 season in which he posted a career high ninety-five (95) points and served as Boston's captain, the first one to do so following Ray Bourque, offered here is this jersey worn by Allison that was originally a part of Mike Keenan's personal collection. An air-knit material construction garment made by CCM that is void of a size tag affixed to the inner collar but measures out to size "58", a "CCM" logo patch is in place over the reverse neckline while the NHL shield emblem has been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a familiar Bruins spoked "B" team crest in layered tackle twill, matching alternate logo patches have been added atop of both shoulders and the distinguished captain's "C" has been sewn on over the left breast. Accented over the sleeves and verso with Allison's number "41" in either tri-layer or dual-layer tackle twill numerals, "Allison" has been spelt out in dual-layer tackle twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Originally hailing from Mike Keenan's personal collection, who served as Boston's head coach for only the 2000-01 season, the jersey was likely only worn for a single game based on the light wear that is observed as well as the fact that the jersey is missing any team stamping behind the team crest and/or the signature of Bruins equipment manager, Peter Henderson.
Showing light wear via a couple of small and light stick marks scattered throughout with the most prominent one being found over the right cuff, some spot stains that could possibly be blood are found throughout as well. Originally auctioned off by Steiner Sports in 2017, a print out of the original listing is included as well as a Steiner LOA.
