The second to last hockey release done by Canadian company Parkhurst, their 1962-63 assembly is up on the block here, found in near-complete set form for its effort and featuring fifty-two (52) of the fifty-six (56) cards that make up the checklist, the set is missing only those of 30-Howe and 39-Beliveau plus the checklist card and the zip card for completion. Paced by a group of notable cards which are in the range of VG to EX with no visible creases to make you aware of, the group includes the examples of 11-Pulford (slightly off-center from bottom-to-top and slight corner wear), 13-Armstrong (light corner wear and surface residue), 16-Bower (light corner wear and surface residue), 18-Mahovlich (slight corner wear and a long fine scratch over the front), 38-H. Richard (corner wear/dings and edge wear), 46-Gilles Tremblay RC (off-center left-to-right and ding to top right corner), 48-Geoffrion (slightly off-center right-to-left and light corner and edge wear), 49-Plante (light corner wear and minor surface residue), 54-J.C. Tremblay RC (slight corner and edge wear plus factory print lines over the bottom) and 53-Geoffrion (very slight corner wear except for a ding to the bottom left when held vertically). Additionally, other notable cards are included as well such as 31-Howe, 14-Shack, 15-Keon, 4-Mahovlich and 7-Horton, all show slight corner and edge wear while the Howe has back damage and paper residue and the other four (4) sport creases. For the balance of the remaining cards, a group of twenty-three (23) cards, including the numbers 3-Baun, 6-Stewart, 8-Brewer, 9-Stanley, 17-Hillman, 20-Odrowski RC, 21-Ullman (surface residue), 22-Stasiuk, 27-Fonteyne, 28-Glover, 29-Boileau RC, 33-Pronovost, 34-Abel, 35-Lunde, 36-Godfrey, 40-Hicke, 41-Provost, 42-Moore, 45-Bonin, 47-Rousseau RC, 50-Johnson, 51-Talbot and 52-Fontinato are found to be between VG to EX with no visible creases. Finally, to close out the group, there are fourteen (14) cards which are found to be in an overall low-grade condition state mostly consisting of cards in the range of poor to very good, including the numbers 1-Harris, 2-Duff, 5-Kelly, 10-Nevin, 12-Litzenberger, 19-Bassen RC, 23-MacGregor RC, 24-LaForge, 25-Gadsby, 26-Labine, 32-Delvecchio, 37-Goyette, 43-Marshall and 44-Backstrom, the majority of these cards have creases and wear to their corners that is worthy of mention for accuracy among other things.
