Members of the International League for parts of seven decades, the Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club began life in the late-19th century, and served as darlings of the league throughout the mid-1950s, leading the circuit in attendance every year from 1952 to 1956. We have a collection of mostly documents pertaining to the Leafs from the late-1950s and early-1960s along with a few other items. The majority of the documents are either from or to Leafs team executive Cecil Finkler, with approx 100 Leafs documents with many on Leafs letterhead which includes a 1961 contract between the Leafs and Sport Productions, documents pertaining to an Admiral TV giveaway, a 1962 typed letter on Milwaukee Braves letterhead, a 1961 typed letter on Los Angeles Angels letterhead, a circa-1961 Milwaukee Braves Press and Radio Release, a circa-1961 Milwaukee Braves Press Score Card, two June 27 1958 Leafs complimentary ticket, two tickets for the "Diamonds" musical performance also on June 27th 1958 and an advertising broadside poster for the June 27th game and "Diamonds" musical performance (14" x 21"), Al Lopez and Al Smith White Sox admission tickets, July 12, 1958 Leafs admission ticket, Orange Crush Leafs child's pass, Leafs Booster Club buy one ticket get one free pass, a 1961 Leafs Press Guide, 1961 Leafs schedule and more!
