One of the most beloved Canucks in history, Stan Smyl spent parts of 13 seasons with Vancouver, and retired as the Canucks' all-time leader in games played, goals, assists and points – all of which have been since surpassed by Trevor Linden and Markus Näslund. Having had his number retired by the Canucks in November of 1991, offered here is this Canucks jersey worn by Smyl during the 1986-87 season. A CCM made offering that is void of any tagging affixed to the inner collar and measuring out to between roughly a size "46" and "48", a white, yellow and black "CCM" logo has been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Canucks team crest that displays with embroidered details throughout its entirety and displaying the distinguished captain's "C" over the left breast, proudly worn by Smyl for a total of eight (8) seasons during his career, the sleeves and verso have been accented with Smyl's number "12" in dual layer black-over-orange tackle twill numerals. Displaying "Smyl" spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse, appearing to likely have been removed and then reattached into its original position, the jersey displays with excellent game-wear throughout including numerous popped seams around the collar, team repairs over the lower front, left cuff, right sleeve, stick marks throughout the body and sleeves, board burns over both sleeves, small spots of board paint transfers, general filth, small cuts and discoloration throughout plus good pilling on the interior. Also showing just very light evidence of the Rick Hansen Man in Motion patch over the left side of the reverse hem to help us date the jersey, the fight strap on the interior also shows heavy rusting/salting in its snaps.
