A veteran of 820 National Hockey League games throughout the course of his 18-year career in the league, Sean Burke would register a total of 324 wins in the NHL and suit up for Canada on numerous occasions as well, winning gold at the 1991 Canada Cup, 1997 and 2003 IIHF World Championships as well as silver at the 1992 Olympic Winter Games. Winning his first Stanley Cup in 2023 as the Director of Goaltending of the Vegas Golden Knights, offered here and hailing from the season in which he became the 20th goalie to register 300 career wins, is this stick used by Burke with the Phoenix Coyotes in 2003-04 that has been dated to their December 5th, 2003 win over Philadelphia. Made by Koho, the 500 series model twig in a black, white and blue colour way has had "S. Burke" stamped over the upper shaft alongside a date stamp that reads "15 OCT 2003". Retaining its original tape job of white over the handle/knob, paddle/hand grip and blade, the stick shows good game-use with puck marks seen throughout the shaft, paddle and blade while a trio of dents/chips is observed to the top edge of the paddle as well. Sporting additional use with more puck marks over the reverse side of both the stick and blade tape as well as red post paint transfers over the tape at the top of the shaft and knob, Burke has signed the stick with a silver marker ink signature that is made out with an annotation reading "To Lou, all the best" in matching ink with everything displaying without issue. Of note, a crack is felt near the name stamp on the upper shaft as well. Also having been dated by an annotation reading "12-5-03 - Flyers 3 - Phoenix 2" on the back side of the shaft, don't miss out on adding this one to your collection!
