Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024

The second Canadian city to play host to a Major League Baseball team, the Toronto Blue Jays battled the snow and 35-degree temperatures on Opening Day April 7th, 1977. Doug Ault would be the hero, clubbing two home runs, as the Jays would beat the Chicago White Sox 9-5. Presented here is a collection of six tickets from that historic Opening Day, with all colour variations represented. All the tickets display “Opening Game” in 70’s style font above a Blue Jays logo that is flanked with “1977” on each side with the Jays word mark logo and stadium information underneath. Pricing and seat information is found at the right side of each ticket. All six tickets remain in gorgeous high grade, with just light touches to corners on the gold VIP ticket and $4.00 salmon-coloured ticket.
