Well collected since the inaugural issue in 1840, first day covers feature postal stamps on their first day of issue. We have a collection of signed and multi-signed covers by Gordie Howe and other deceased HOFers totaling 22 which includes three authenticated by PSA. First, we have 11 signed by Howe, including 1980 Winter Olympics, Red Wings 60th birthday, 1960 honouring the automotive industry, 1968 fifty star flag (with Mark and Marty Howe), Christmas 1972, 1980 Winter Olympics Lake Placid, 1984 Olympics, 1980 Olympics Hockey and a few others. This is followed by deceased HOFers Sid Abel (1980 Olympics skiing), Bill Gadsby 1987, Elmer Lach (1960 Olympics), Ted Lindsay (1956 Hockey - Canada's National Winter Sport), Gadsby (1963 Centennial of Engineering) and Bill Chadwick (1980 Lake Placid). Next, there are covers signed by Brad Park (1980 Lake Placid) and Mickey Redmond (Canadian Postage Stamps), while the three encapsulated by PSA and graded "Authentic Auto" include 1980 Winter Olympics signed by Howe, Lindsay, Delvecchio and George Armstrong, 2009 Gordie Howe tribute signed by Howe, and 1984 Winter Olympics signed by Howe, Lindsay, Beliveau and Alex Delvecchio. The signatures all vary in different color inks, with each displaying well with no issues. The covers themselves show minimal wear and remain like new.
