Drafted 6th overall by the Detroit Tigers, Andrew Miller, a product of the University of North Carolina, would go on to play a total of sixteen (16) years in the Major Leagues, donning the uniform of Detroit, Florida, Boston, Baltimore, New York, Cleveland and St. Louis over that time and earning ALCS MVP honors in 2016 on a run to the World Series with the Cleveland Indians. Spending a season and a half in the famed pinstripes of the New York Yankees between 2015 and 2016, offered here is this Yankees jersey worn by Miller on July 24th, 2016. Made by Majestic, a brand/MLB Authentic Collection jock tag with a size 48" designation is heat-pressed over the front tail and displays a Steiner hologram numbered “239522” over it while a Yankees team inventory tag that has had an MLB hologram numbered “JB422920” affixed to it is heat pressed underneath. Having had a washing instructions tag added inside the left hip that displays a size “48” designation, an additional Majestic/MLB Authentic Collection label is heat pressed over the placket, displaying a “2016” year designation and other information. Sporting the famed pinstripes throughout the body and sleeves and decorated over the left breast with New York's iconic interlocking "NY" logo on single layer navy tackle twill, a number "8" memorial patch for Yogi Berra is in place atop the left sleeve while an MLB logo crests rests over the reverse neckline. Displaying Miller's number "48" over the reverse in single layer navy tackle twill numerals, the jersey, originally sold through MLB Auctions, remains in fantastic condition overall, except for a stain near the right shoulder, as Miller stayed in the bullpen for the entirety of the game it was worn in. A Steiner LOA will accompany the piece.
