Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/25/2024
One of the most popular collectibles of the Original Six era, Bee Hive hockey player photos produced by the St. Lawrence Starch Co. were a staple for Canadian youth/hockey fans, with the company's Bee Hive branded products also extremely popular in Canadian households throughout the mid-century. Offered here, we present this collection of seven (7) Bee Hive corn syrup bottles and tins/cans, including a trio that still sport their "Hockey Picture Redemption" labels, and a lighter. Including a ten (10) pound can that still has the redemption label over the top of the lid, a pair of two (2) pound cans that both have their redemption labels over their tops, a pair of one (1) pound cans, a plastic squeeze bottle that has a one (1) pound capacity and brand graphics over one side with instructions for use on the other, the last item included is a mini can promotional cigarette lighter that sports brand labeling, a made in Japan designation over the bottom and no longer is functional. All remaining in overall good condition with minor wear and tear from age to the graphics of each of the included items, varying degrees of rusting is also observed over the tops and bottoms of each metal can/bottle as well that is worth noting for accuracy.
