A veteran of 16 National Hockey League seasons, Kimmo Timonen would suit up in over 1100 NHL games for the Nashville Predators, Philadelphia Flyers, and Chicago Blackhawks, winning a Stanley Cup with Chicago in 2015. A mainstay on the Finnish National Team from 1992 to 2014, winning a trio of Olympic bronze medals plus a silver, Timonen would also win a trio of World Championship silver medals (1998, 1999 and 2001) plus World Cup of Hockey silver in 2004. Inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2020, offered here is this video-matched Team Finland jersey worn by Timonen at the 2002 IIHF World Championship in Sweden. Made by Nike, a brand/size "58" label is affixed to the inner collar above additional "IIHF Authentic Collection" and "Made in Canada" labels while an IIHF logo crest is found over the lower reverse. Having had additional Nike swoosh logos added over the right breast and reverse neckline, the front of the jersey is decorated with a Team Finland crest that features heavily embroidered details while matching Finnair sponsorship patches have been sewn on over both sleeves. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Timonen's number "4" in dual layer tackle twill numerals, "Timonen" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate across the top of the reverse. Exhibiting good game-wear, stick marks are present over the front, reverse and both sleeves while board burns are present in the area of the left elbow. Having been video-matched, the jersey is matched to a screenshot from the player introductions of Finland's semi-final game agaist Russia that shows the stick mark just under the Finnair patch on the right sleeve.
