A product of the Ontario Hockey League's North Bay Centennials, Darren Turcotte was drafted 114th overall by the New York Rangers at the 1986 NHL Entry Draft and went on to enjoy a National Hockey League career that saw him play in 635 total games with the likes of New York, Hartford, Winnipeg, San Jose, St. Louis and Nashville. Selected to the NHL All-Star Game in 1991 and having represented his native United States of America at the 1987 and 1988 IIHF World Junior Championships plus the 1993 IIHF World Championships, offered here is this New York Rangers jersey worn by Turcotte during the 1991-92 season. A heavyweight mesh construction offering by CCM, size "52", CCM and Gerry Cosby labels are affixed to the inner collar while both the CCM and NHL logos are embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front of the jersey with "Rangers" going diagonally down the chest from right-to-left in dual layer blue-over-red drop-shadow tackle twill letters, the NHL's 75th anniversary patch that was worn by all teams throughout the season is in place over the left breast. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Turcotte's number "8" in numbers matching the letters that spell out "Rangers" over the front, "Turcotte" is spelt out in matching style letters that have been individually sewn directly to the upper reverse in a gentle arch. Accompanied by a Rangers LOA that has had a MeiGray hologram serial numbered "112039" affixed to it as well, the jersey displays with just light wear including stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves, board burns over both sleeves, a small unrepaired cut near the left cuff and good pilling on the interior.
