Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/25/2024
Regarded by many to this day as the greatest hockey player to ever lace up a pair of skates, the name Gordie Howe is synonymous with the game loved and played by so many across the world. In a career that spanned over five different decades from 1946-71 and 1973-80, fans and players alike will still find Howe’s name near the top of the all-time leaderboards all these years later. Inducted into the hallowed halls of the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1972, offered here is this trio of Howe cards that hail from the 1967-68 and 1968-69 Topps hockey releases. All having been just returned back from grading by the professionals at PSA, a pair of cards from the 1967-68 Topps set are included in the form of Howe's regular issue and All-Star cards that have been assessed marks of EX 5 and VG-EX 4 respectively. With the last card present being a copy of Howe's 1968-69 Topps regular issue release that also sports a mark of VG-EX 4, all three (3) cards retain good colours and show things like light corner and edge wear that is worthy of mention for accuracy, as well as minor centering issues and toning that is heaviest on the 1967-68 regular issue release. All in flawless PSA holders, don't miss out on this trio for your all-important collection!
