Recognized as the scarcest and most difficult Canadian Football card issue to assemble, as these came one (1) per box in Shredded Wheat during the 1956 CFL season, the 1956 Shredded Wheat CFL football set consists of 105-cards in total, broken down into seven (7) 15-card series', one (1) series for each of the CFL's teams at the time except for the BC Lions and Montreal Alouettes. Offered here, we present this collection of cards from the 1956 Shredded Wheat CFL release that totals out to twenty-four (24). Including key examples of Canadian Football Hall of Famers such as Dick Shatto (EX - light residue on the front), Bob Simpson (VG to VG-EX - small amount of top border damage) and Frank Morris (EX to EX-MT). Also including key examples of 6B-Getty (GOOD - crease at left side), 8D-Miksza (EX to EX-MT), 10E-Sopinka (x2 - one around EX with a tiny ding at the top border and the other around VG-EX to EX with slight border wear) and 14B-Ivy (GOOD - a few small light creases), the group includes duplicate cards of 6D-Howell, 10E-John Sopinka and 13A-Lynn Bottoms. For the rest of the group, the condition breakdown includes four (4) cards in the range of EX-MT to NM, seven (7) examples seen as being in the scope of EX to EX-MT, a pair (2) of cards in the vicinity of VG to VG-EX, a lone (1) card in the neighbourhood of GOOD and finally, two (2) cards around PR to F.
